WHAT IS
i2Dclass?

A completely new take on decades-old technology.

i2Dclass is a single stage conversion technology that converts serial audio data (i2s, AES3, SPDIF etc) directly into Dclass outputs for professional grade analog audio - without the need for costly interim conversions, tuned multibit outputs, or large heatsinks.

KEY BENEFITS

LOW COST & PART COUNT

Only a handful of parts are necessary to produce professional grade audio for mass market applications. Even the heatsink can be discarded up to 80Wrms a channel.

SINGLE BIT OUTPUT

Natively compatible with a variety of existing bridges or discrete part solutions, and inherently linear- no messing about with multi-bit/Low Pass Filter (LPF) stages, re-encoding, etc...

LOW SWITCHING FREQUENCY

Output switching frequency (Fsw) low enough to drive D-class/power inverters directly- no interim costly and noise inducing filtering, buffering and remodulation.

ULTRA LOW PROPAGATION DELAY

25us including deserialization, PCM to one bit conversion, AND output filter. Enables ultrasonic noise cancellation, no latency gaming etc.

OPEN LOOP

Allows ‘analog’ volume control by varying output voltage without bit shifting, maintaining dynamic range (no lost bits due to shifting)

EMBEDDED PROTECTION

Real-time Over Current Protection (OCP) incorporated with the DAC provides terminal short circuit protection for any voltage and power.
